SEN

Welcome to our SEN information page

My name is Mrs Forshaw and I am the SENCO at Beechwood Primary School where your child attends. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child or the provision in place for them. You can contact me via the main school office (details on the 'contact us' page).  I will be more than happy to meet with you to discuss your child's needs and I will also be able to guide you in the right direction should you wish to make a complaint.

SEMH Resource Base
In September 2019, we opened a Social, Emotional and Mental Health Resource Base for children in EYFS/KS1. Our SEMH Resource Base is our Lewis Carroll class. The class has 8 places and it is for children who have SEMH identified as their Primary area of need. Our Lewis Carroll class aims to give the children the skills and confidence to return to and succeed in mainstream education.

In September 2019, following our successful National Lottery Bid we opened a Multi Sensory Room. This room is attached to our Lewis Carroll class but it can also be accessed by all members of our school community.
